Black Law Enforcement mourns the Death of Erica Garner

To the Garner Family,

As a National Association of Black Law Enforcement Professionals, we mourn the loss of our friend and sister in the struggle for Freedom, Justice and Equality, Erica Garner. We also recognize and pray for the more substantial loss sustained by those who were nearest and dearest to her.

This resolution is a tribute to the memory of our sister to say in regretting her removal from our midst. We mourn for our sister, who was, in every way, worthy of our respect and regard.

As Black Law Enforcement, we send sincere condolences to the family of Erica Garner so that you shall find peace in this time of sorrow.

The emphasis is on the common experience and determination of the people of African, Afro-Caribbean and Asian origin that opposes the effects of the policies and procedures in the history of our Justice System, that are based on racial bias and disproportionality.
